Vehicles in German City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Officers stated they were notified by a individual who noticed a vehicle in Hanau covered with reddish fluid

Approximately 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Automobiles, walls and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with swastikas, they reported in a release.

Police report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued fluid.

The substance had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they added.

Police then found multiple other smeared automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Police say preliminary tests suggest the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no lead as to its source; authorities are currently not cognizant of any physical harm in association with the incident," they added.

City officials announced they were trying "to resolve the incident" and have requested to the community for details.

A senior official commented the vandalism rendered him speechless and needed to be resolved promptly.

"This incident affects the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the right-wing attack half a decade ago," he posted on online, referring to the death of nine people by a assailant focusing on individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
