The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
